Selector Radio, made by Folded Wing for The British Council, has broadcast a special show from The Great Escape. The programme hosted their own showcase at the annual festival, featuring live performances from Louis Culture, RarelyAlways, Grove and English Teacher. Selector shows are broadcast to more than thirty countries around the world, connecting a global audience to emerging and exciting new UK music.
The show also features an interview with Adam Ryan, Head of Music at the festival and a chat with Kween Deekay. We hear from Dave Bongo, owner of the iconic record store Mr Bongos, where our award-winning presenter Jamz Supernova, recorded an in-store DJ set at the store. Selector has been making regular trips down to Brighton for The Great Escape for years, including this one from 2018, which included live sets from Benin City and Puma Blue.
