Welcome to The Listening Post, where each week we get an insight into the radio listening habits of a guest contributor. Once each person has made their picks, we ask them to nominate someone for the following week's Listening Post...
Our most recent Listening Post came courtesy of Rock FM presenter Jordan North. Jordan's choices included The Danny Mylo on Pulse 102.5FM, The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4 and Freejack's Classic Cuts on Rock FM. You can view his full selections here.
Jordan has nominated George Godfrey to provide our latest Listening Post. George has worked with a number of stations in the past, including BBC Radio Lancashire, Key 103 and XFM. He can now be found presenting on Absolute Radio. You can find out when George is on by heading here.
Check out George's choices below...

1. Gilles Peterson, BBC Radio 6 Music - Saturdays from 3pm
"Musically, one of my favourite listens week in week out. Its an eclectic mix of Jazz, Disco, House, World, Hip hop and more subgenres than I could even begin to name. As I work primarily around rock and indie at Absolute, I switch this on when I need a breath of fresh air. Gilles gets brilliant guests, even better live sessions and without fail, delivers one of the most interesting 3 hours of tunes in British radio."

2. X-Posure with John Kennedy, Radio X - Mon-Thurs from 10pm
"In terms of music discovery, the man is the king as far as I’m concerned. The fact that his show remained completely untouched during XFM’s transition to Radio X is testament to just how iconic it is. His live sessions are some of the most intimate on the airwaves and his playlist without fail introduces me a new band I’ll love on every listen."

3. Rob Beckett, Absolute Radio - Sundays from 2pm
"Normally, the result of giving someone a national radio show when they’ve had little to no prior experience would be a disaster. But in this case, Christ it’s funny. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rob when he’d just started a year or so ago, and the way he takes the reigns is completely his own style. Whether its him and Matt (Dyson) tearing apart some ridiculous football news, or he’s laying into one of his many hilarious guests (perks of being a big name comedian) - you never know what to expect."

"I’m listening now and JT's 'Señorita' is playing… need I say more? Back-to-back bangers!"

5. Huw Stephens - BBC Radio 1, Mon-Wed 10pm
"This was a close call between Huw and Annie - I love both of their shows a lot. That new music spirit in Radio 1 is what inspired me to get into the job in the first place. I remember long drives from band practice back home listening to Phil and Alice’s late show, heading down to Uni with Zane Lowe all the way (a show which Annie’s done a mega job with, by the way). What I love most about Huw’s show is how he goes into slightly deeper cuts, playing songs from bands we don't hear enough of. That combined with Maida Vale live sets and his piano sessions make it perfect late night listening."
(I realise I've mentioned live sessions a lot on this, but they're bloody good aren't they?)

"I’m going to nominate my good friend and fellow podcast host Ben Sheppard (Capital, not tipping point). He’s had a stressful week with car trouble and I’d like to add to his workload."
Check back next Friday for Ben's selections...
