Welcome to The Listening Post, where each week we get an insight into the radio listening habits of a guest contributor. Once each person has made their picks, we ask them to nominate someone for the following week's Listening Post...
Our most recent Listening Post came courtesy of Rock FM Breakfast presenter Darryl Morris. Darryl's choices included Greg James on BBC Radio 1, Infinite Monkey Cage on BBC Radio 4 and Minute By Minute on BBC Radio 2. You can view his full selections here.
Darryl has nominated his colleague Jordan North to provide the latest Listening Post. Jordan presents the Homerun show on Rock FM (3-7pm). He can also occasionally be heard on BBC Radio 1!
Check out Jordan's choices below...

1. Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1 - Weekdays from 7pm
"Picture the scene… you’ve just come off air after a four hour show and you’ve played Katy Perry for the 8th time that week, you’re driving home and Annie Mac is whispering down the mic about a band that you’ve never heard of, but because of her style, music passion, and knowledge you carry on listening - she is so good! If your favorite band/artist has got a new record out, no doubt Annie will be one of the first to play it on the radio. Just before Christmas she was broadcasting live from a church where Coldplay were doing an ‘intimate’ gig, it was incredible and really made me want to be there singing along to ‘Fix You’."

The most underrated Breakfast show on radio
2. The Danny Mylo Show - Pulse 102.5FM, 6-10am
"The most underrated breakfast show on the radio. I first heard Danny a few years ago and I was instantly hooked to his style, he’s brash, loud, and very Yorkshire – but absolutely brilliant. I suppose I like how raw Danny is, he’s only in his early 20s yet he sounds ‘real’ and very relatable, plus Rosie (his co presenter) really makes the show, she’s genuinely warm and very funny! They might not be everyone’s cup of tea but in an age when radio can be very bland and dull they shine through, also you can really tell they are best mates off-air which is a great! Quality."

Friday night comedy
3. The News Quiz - BBC Radio 4, Fridays from 6.30pm
"First broadcast in 1977 but just as funny and relevant today, usually I’m not a big fan of panel shows but The News Quiz is very entertaining. I was gutted when Sandi Toksvig left the show but Miles Jupp is a great replacement. We all know that news and politics can be very depressing at times, so if you’re sick of hearing about The EU referendum, the latest round of cuts, or the doctor’s strike then give this a listen."

Great memories and superb records
4. Freejack’s Classic Cuts - Rock FM, Sundays 12-4pm
"It’s no secret that I love Rock FM and I always wanted to have my own show on the station. I grew up listening to loads of fantastic DJ’s and one of them is still on air now! Ladies and gentleman let me introduce you to…Mark Freejack. This man is a legend across Lancashire, he’s DJ'd in pretty much every club in the North West and his Sunday afternoon show is a must listen (he has the highest RAJAR share on the station). Mark plays classic dance anthems from the 90’s / early 2000’s and our audience love it, the interaction he gets from the texts, Twitter, and Facebook is unbelievable – give this man a listen, four hours of great memories and superb records."

Laugh out loud, extremely immature but bloody brilliant
4. Greg James - BBC Radio 1, Weekdays 4-7pm
"My mate once said to me ‘I hardly listen to you on Rock FM, I prefer Greg James on the way home’, I wasn’t offended. As Darryl said in last week’s Listening Post, ‘the man is simply on the form of his life’ – I couldn’t agree more. If you think Greg’s show is silly then listen to his podcast (‘That’s what he said’) It’s laugh out loud funny, extremely immature, but bloody brilliant!"
The next Listening Post
For the next Listening Post, I nominate my friend and fellow claret George Godfrey, only because when we meet for a beer we only every talk about Burnley, so it’ll actually be interesting to see what shows he likes on the wireless."
Check back on Friday for George's selections...
