Yesterday, Team Selector decamped from our studios here in London to a rather rainy Brighton to record next week's show at one of the integral fixtures in the music calendar, The Great Escape Festival.
Read moreTaking place annually, The Great Escape is a new music festival which showcases new and emerging artists, with over 400 up-and-coming bands playing across 35 of Brighton's music venues.
Described as 'the first place to discover your new favourite band', we saw the festival as the perfect fit for our show The Selector, which helps listeners do the same thing, each and every week.
Presented by Goldierocks, The Selector is an international showcase for the best new music from the UK and is broadcast to more than 4 million listeners in 43 countries across the world including Spain, Jordan, Malawi, Egypt and Cuba.
Kicking off English festival season in fine fashion day one of the festival saw performances from bands and artists including Kate Tempest, Jack Garratt and The Merrylees.
You can hear how those performances went down, plus interviews with the likes of Haelos, GAPS and Dutch Uncles as part of our Selector Great Escape Special next week.
So, be sure to join Goldierocks for tunes, chat and fish & chips when the show goes live here, next Friday 22nd May at 11am.
