On Boxing Night, Katie will once again take listeners on a journey through the classic pop-soul and soft rock of the 70s and 80s. She will give listeners the luxury soundtrack to their imaginary millionaire lifestyle with music from the likes of Christopher Cross, Doobie Brothers and new, as well as lesser known Yacht Rock.

On New Years Day we'll be getting listeners into the party spirit by celebrating the UK's love affair with Northern Soul with Sharleen Spiteri's Out On The Floor.
It will be a debut presenting appearance on Radio 2 for the Texas singer, who will be sharing the Northern Soul tracks she danced to as a teenager in Glasgow in the early 1970s and beyond.
Her personally-selected two hour playlist includes classics from Dobie Gray, William Bell and Gloria Jones, along with personal favourites from Major Lance, Chuck Wood and Bobby Brady.
Sharleen has said the following about the show:
“I’m really looking forward to you all hearing the tracks that I’ve chosen - it will be like an afternoon round my kitchen!”
