Our latest documentary for BBC Radio 1 goes out next week! Ten Teens Who Changed The World was produced by Milly Chowles for Folded Wing and is presented by Gemma Cairney. In it, Gemma celebrates the outstanding achievements of 10 game-changing teens from all over the world, from the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, to Nick D'Aloisio, who launched a multi-million pound app on his 16th birthday after teaching himself to code aged 12.

To celebrate the documentary going out, we at Folded Wing HQ have picked the teenagers who we think have made a real mark in their field. We'd love to hear about your inspirational teenagers too - get in touch on Twitter @foldedwinguk.

Arctic Monkeys
"They were 20 by the time they released their debut album, but they'd been together since they were 16. Their first album 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not' is all about being a teenager in Sheffield, I just think it's a great portrayal of being a kid in the north. This is my favourite track on the album."

Donny Osmond
"When I was a young, he was my idol! I love this track 'Teenager In Love'."

Låpsley
"A teen that's doing fantastic things in the music world at the moment, for me, is Låpsley. She's a 17 year old producer/singer from Liverpool (one of my favourite cities) and is super talented…really chilled out, melodic, beautiful music! Expect big things over the coming years…"

Lorde
"My absolute favourite teenager is New Zealander Lorde. I think she's super inspirational for young people - wish she'd been around when I was a teenager! She's a brilliant songwriter, captivating performer, charismatic and outspoken in interviews and generally seems very savvy and in control of her own future, quite a rarity for a young popstar. I love her attitude to her fans too - so affectionate and respectful. Can't wait for her next album."
Jim
"Love Kate Bush beyond words! Even more so after seeing her recently at Hammersmith. She wrote 'The Man With The Child In His Eyes' when she was 13 and recorded it when she was 16... Deep!"
