Following on from our most recent "Amped..." session with British Sea Power in partnership with our show The Selector for the British Council and The Crypt Studios in North London, we are pleased to announce that our fourth "Amped…” session has gone live!
“Amped…” is a new series of filmed live sessions at The Crypt Studios in Crouch End, North London. The sessions are recorded in partnership between The Crypt Sessions and The Selector; once a month The Selector take a band into the studio to record a short set to be played out on the show and at the same time The Crypt Sessions film one of the songs and record a short interview with The Selector presenter Goldierocks to be hosted on Thecryptsessions.com and Selector-Radio.com.
We launched the sessions a few months ago and so far we have featured Tribes, Fun Adults and British Sea Power. They all performed their latest singles and had a short chat with Selector presenter Goldierocks. You can see the previous sessions here:

This month’s session is with 19 year old singer/songwriter Misty Miller. Despite being the tender age of just 19, Misty has already released her debut album and gone through a big musical change since releasing it at the age of 15. Her debut album was a folky affair, littered with the Ukulele that she composed her early songs on. Now at 19 Misty has reinvented herself, picking up the electric guitar and writing frantic and punchy rock songs. Her unique gritty, 70s rock n roll esque sounds have received praise from her growing army of fans including Radio 1's Rob da Bank and Zane Lowe! Now signed to Sony label Relentless, she's currently recording her next album which follows her debut album that sold over 60,000 copies. Misty has just released her new EP 'Next To You' and dropped by The Crypt Studios with her band to play us some tracks from it and also spoke to Selector presenter Goldierocks all about her musical evolution, how she found releasing music at such a young age and where she would love to play in the world!
Misty also performed a 3 track set that features in this weeks Selector Radio show, Misty played a brand new song, alongside tracks from the new EP. You can listen to the full set here:
