Following on from the launch of our latest partnership between our show The Selector for the British Council and The Crypt Studios in North London, we are pleased to announce that our third Amped…” session has gone live!
“Amped…” is a new series of filmed live sessions at The Crypt Studios in Crouch End, North London. The sessions are recorded in partnership between The Crypt Sessions and The Selector; once a month The Selector take a band into the studio to record a short set to be played out on the show and at the same time The Crypt Sessions film one of the songs and record a short interview with The Selector presenter Goldierocks to be hosted on Thecryptsessions.com and Selector-Radio.com.

This month’s session is with indie veterans British Sea Power, the lads ten years on from their debut album, have just released their 6th studio album Machineries Of Joy. Hailed as the Best Band In Britain, BSP are a six-piece band currently based in East Sussex and on the Isle Of Skye. Taking to The Crypt, BSP recorded their rather eccentric and somewhat haunting 'Loving Animals'; along with a further two live session tracks for broadcast on The Selector and an interview with Selector presenter Goldierocks.
The lads also performed a 3 track set that features in this weeks Selector Radio show, they played 3 songs off the new LP, "Machineries Of Joy", "A Light Descending" and "Loving Animals". Listen to the guys full set here:
